Alicia Daria Tchaikoun, 21

“I am a music student and I study classical voice. My dream is to perform music all over the world and bring people joy through music. I am also a licensed lifeguard and swimming coach. Some of my other hobbies include swimming, running and modelling. I love being around people and I’m friendly and outgoing.”

Anastasia Kalashnikava, 25

“I am 25 years old and from Minsk, Belarus. I consider myself a passionate and enthusiastic person. I am interested in fashion and interior design and I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I also believe that opportunities do not often come along. So, when they do, you have to grab them.”

Anastasiya Toropova, 20

“I am 20 years old from Ukraine, Lugansk. I study Business Administration and International Trading at BCIT. My life reflects on that nothing is impossible simply because the word itself already shows that I’m Possible. If you work hard, follow your dreams and never give up – you can achieve everything.”

Anna Arkhipova, 24

“I’m 24 years old and I’m from Moscow, Russia. I’m a very ambitious person and I believe in myself! As I always say, positivity is the main key to success, nothing is impossible, believe in yourself and never give up! I moved to Vancouver nine years ago and my goal was to learn English and get a Canadian passport and I did it! I attended hair dressing school and got an agent in the movie industry. I’m passionate about my acting/hairdressing career.”

Dina Abdeeva, 22

“I came to Canada to study economics at SFU. I believe, that everything you get in life, whether good or bad, fully depends on you. Hard work and dedication can help you achieve your goals and make your dreams come true. My passion is music and singing. I hope this contest allows me to present myself as a singer and, of course, to find friends and to try out something new.”

“I am 27 years old, and from the south of Russia. I found my passion in fashion, modelling and dancing. I express myself through art. Any type of art. It keeps me alive, balanced, and gives me energy. I think happiness is being your true self and following your dreams. I believe that anything is possible and it comes at the perfect time:)”

Karina Khromeeva, 25

“My name is Karina. I’m from Russia, Moscow, and living in Vancouver. In my spare time, I volunteer. Our organization helps local women find jobs, prepare them for interviews, help them with resumes and much much more. I enjoy helping people and I love animals. I also love travelling. My goal is to travel around the world! One of my favourite quote is, ‘Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.’ So I wish for everyone to be happy in the moment, always.”

Kate Stepanenko, 26

“I’m from Ukraine. I radiate positivity, both in energy and attitude. I am open to any and all new experiences that will bring joy to my life and others. I appreciate all that I have in my life and I strongly believe you have to follow your dreams with love and passion in your heart. If you never ever give up you will look back as I do and say: Veni, Vidi, Vici! I came, I saw, I conquered!”

Katerina Babelo, 26

“I am 26 years old and from Russia, Sakhalin Island. I work in a high school, helping international students achieve their goals. In my spare time I do modelling and traveling. I am obsessed with dogs, I have my own little pomeranian and I support two dog shelters in Russia. I believe that if you don’t fight for what you want, then you should not cry for what you’ve lost!”

Olga Demysheva, 28

“My name is Olga. I am 28 and I consider myself a result-oriented person with a creative soul and inquisitive mind. I’ve always been fascinated by fine art and design. As a co-founder of Doodle Art Club Vancouver I have a strong passion in helping people combat stress through the creative world of art. This passion turned into a book about drawing and meditation which was published in Canada last year. ‘Everything has beauty, but not everyone sees it.’ – Confucius

Sofiia Pochepnia, 21

“For the past 10 years, I have been studying guitar, playing in Russian music school. This education has helped me win a few guitar competitions and I’ve became a diplomate in a far eastern guitar contest. My favourite quote is ‘Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life.’

Vasilia Kozhukhova, 20

“I am 20 years old and just moved to Vancouver. I study biotechnology. I love to travel, but dancing is my passion. I have visited a lot of places in my life and feel enriched by the experiences I have gained and the people I have met. I believe that life is remarkably multifaceted and complex and that every day should be lived to the fullest.”

Viktoriya Lukyanenko, 27

“I am 27 years old and I have lived in 4 different countries in the last 10 years. I am passionate about exploring new cultures and meeting new people. I constantly strive to push myself out of my comfort zone and experience new things. I’ve spent most of my life as a competitive tennis player, and have the utmost respect for athletes. Although now that I have retired, animals, and in particular dogs, make me the happiest!”

“I’m 31 years old, I’m from Russia. My home city is Ufa. I see myself as self-content and a person with ambition that helps me achieve my desired results. I believe that ‘when we work on ourselves we change the world around us.’
